Between us, we have have over 80 years of studying and teaching life drawing.



Co-founder and instructor

Veronica is a New Yorker, a freelance illustrator, and the president of Studio 1482. Her reportage drawings have led her around the world, completing assignments for a diverse group of clients. Ronnie also teaches drawing and illustration at Pratt Institute, Parsons, The New School for Design, and Dalvero Academy.

She is the author of several books, including One Drawing A Day: A Six-Week Course Exploring Creativity With Illustration and Mixed Media (Quarry Books.)



Co-founder and instructor

Melanie is an award-winning illustrator with a sketchbook never far from her side. Since earning her MFA in illustration from Syracuse University, she has illustrated for book publishers, advertising agencies, museums, magazines and major corporations.

She is a professor and the assistant dean at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.




Margaret Hurst creates illustrations and reportage works that are intelligent, cultural and uniquely personal. A professor at Pratt Institute of Art, Parsons School of Design and cofounder/instructor of Dalvero Academy, and the VP of Studio 1482, Margaret works in all areas, with all mediums, and always in good design. Born and raised in the Virgin Islands, Marg is the author/illustrator of Grannie and the Jumbie, which won an illustration award at the Society of Illustrators.
